Realtor Spotlight: Tim Ambrose
Posted on: Friday, August 27th, 2021NOR-CAL Moving Services would like to take a moment to recognize Tim Ambrose for his outstanding work in real estate! We took a chance to meet with Tim and find out more about him and what he does throughout his day to day.
Can you share your background or about yourself?
I’m originally from Baton Rouge La. I came to California for a summer internship and fell in Love with the Bay Area and decided to make it my home. I’m a Graduate of St. Mary’s College in Moraga with a BA in Business Management. I’ve been happily married to my wife Paula since 1997. We have one daughter, Jessica.
After working over 24 years in Corporate America, I decided it was time to go out on my own. I earned my real estate license in 2004 and I’ve been a full time Realtor since. I currently work at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services and rank in the top 8% Nationwide.
My specialty is Seniors. Most Seniors have lived in their homes for a long time. When the time comes to move, they need an experienced Realtor who can hold their hand and navigate them through the process. This includes helping them select a moving company, which is why I’m grateful to be featured with you all here at NOR-CAL Moving Services.
What made you decide to become a realtor? Who inspired you?
I can’t say anyone inspired me, but I became a realtor because it’s a service industry, and in my opinion, we are all here to serve. Be it our profession or as a volunteer. I currently volunteer and sit on various committees, I served as 2018 President for the Bay East Association of Realtors. Being a Realtor allows me to serve my clients as a profession.
What differentiates you from other realtors? Or what can home sellers expect from your service?
Because I specialize in working with seniors, I’ve found they typically need to make home improvements in order to get their homes ready for the market. Often times, seniors don’t have the funds to make those repairs, I have a fund established to help seniors finance the repairs that will help make their homes more attractive. As a result, they enjoy a higher sales price as opposed to selling the home without making the repairs. This is a unique service I offer to my clients.
What piece of advice would you give someone looking to sell a house in this current market? First and foremost, I would suggest you hire a realtor. When you are ill, you visit your Dr., when you need legal advice, you hire an Attorney. When you are ready to purchase or sell your home, hire a realtor. A Realtor will walk you through the process and help you avoid any nasty surprises related to the rules and regulations you need to be aware of and follow when buying or selling your home.
What is your favorite thing to do in the Bay Area? Enjoying all the jewels the Bay Area has to offer. The Redwoods, the Theater, the variety of restaurants, hiking trails, golf courses, museums, the ocean and much more.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? I enjoy the outdoors. I walk an hour a day 6 days a week. I’m an avid golfer and walk the course as often as I can. Last but not least, I’m a collector of vintage men’s wrist watches. I have an extensive collection that dates back to the 1920’s.
